ALL ABOUT NURSERY
At Hambleton Nursery, we believe that every child deserves the best possible start in life and the support that enables them to fulfil their potential. A secure, safe and happy childhood is important. Good parenting and high-quality learning together provide the foundation children need to make the most of their abilities and talents as they grow up.
The learning and development that takes place in the first five years of life is greater and more rapid than at any other time in life. We feel privileged to have such a great job contributing to your child’s learning and development. We have always enjoyed close working relationships between parents, staff and the children.
Our priority is for the children to have fun and be happy.
We are a nursery providing high quality education provision
for your child. We have fully qualified teachers delivering the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum, and conform to the government requirements for ratios of staff to children.
We aim to ensure that each and every child is Hambleton Academy ready and ensure that the transition into reception class is an enjoyable experience for both the children and parents. We plan activities around the child’s needs, interests and stages of their development. The children will be able to access all areas of learning, which have been enhanced to allow children to reach their full potential in a fun and exciting way.
Every child will be assigned a key person, whose role is to assist in the learning of this child to reach their full potential. Your child’s key person is responsible for uploading evidence onto EExAT (Early Excellence) which supports their learning and help plan for their next steps. You will also be given access to this to support with any home learning as we believe parents play a vital part in their child’s learning and growing.
The children also have the opportunity to take part in a mixture of enrichment activities throughout their time at Hambleton primary Academy Nursery. We invite different people into the school to share their experiences, as well as visit the real world outside of nursery. We have attended theatres, libraries, local farms etc.
This year at nursery, we will be keeping in contact with parents with a nursery to home diary. This allows parents to be part of their child’s learning and development, by sharing experiences with the nursery as well as carrying on their learning at home.
This year at nursery:
PE will be on a Tuesday
Football will be on a Thursday
Keep on eye out on the school Facebook page to see the exciting activities we have been busy doing at nursery.
